on Buffet ?!
To date, the hotel buffets that I have visited are just merely four: Raffles Hotel, Ellenborough Market Café at Swissotel Merchant Court, Cherry Garden dim sum buffet at Oriental Singapore and The Line at Shangri-la Hotel.
Frankly speaking, buffets are not really my cup of tea… though people said that: “you can eat everything with just 50 dollars”
But I just find it boring.
Though some of the grand hotels do try to create different types of theme to boost more visits from diners, like what I heard: Raffles Hotel “Russian food” for a limited period of 2 weeks, The Line is having “Oysters buffet” on Tuesday and “Seafood buffet” on Thursday, Axis bar and lounge at Oriental Singapore is having canapés, and an assortment of mini pastries and desserts…..
Perhaps I’m more into culinary creations, or more gourmet type dining rather than those “one food catering for the masses” dining style…. have it or not is up to you since you have paid for all the food!
If you want me to rate the four hotel buffets I tried, I could only show my most and least favourite:
Most favourite:
Cherry garden A-La-Carte Dim Sum Buffet: mostly chef’s created dim sum, very nice presentation and simply delicious!

也有很多人在写呀。
我未必写得比他们好噢，还是守着写小餐厅比较好吧。毕竟我们一看到餐厅，很少会勇敢地走进去试一试的。至少看了我的报道，你们会有个所以然咯。
过年前上司请我们一行人到吉隆坡的shangri-la吃buffet,每人RM99+,老实说，没有惊喜。觉得不值那个价钱，除了甜品还可以之外，其他乏善可陈。
